The cast play this so seriously I keep expecting a funny punch line. To be honest I'm only half way through the second episode and so far Maigret seems little better at detective work than Inspector Clouseau. Maybe a laughter track would have helped or a reprisal of Rowan Atkinson's version of Maigret.

Unfortunately this has become yet another soap about family relationships between the generations.

So many holes in the plot, and unbelievable scenes, a Tom and Jerry cartoon would be more realistic.
