Ok, then I saw an 8+ rating of this film, I made my entire family to watch it. Imagine evebody faces , when movie was slowly building a pretty cool plot, but right in the 3rd quarter everything became non-sensed too flashy fast and completely killed the vibe. I am so sad now, writing a review, obviously this movie not an 8, not a 7 either, 5 out of 10 is maximum with all respect to production team. Looks like someone was making a movie, meet deadline too early and had to finished everything next week. I like the music tho, it was something fresh, but don't waste your time on this, re-watch From Dusk Till Dawn.
I was skeptical to watch this low budget film, because its kinda Ukrainian production on Russian language thing. I didn't get it why it was marked as United Kingdom product on Russian steaming, maybe in a light of political situation between two countries. But whatever, I gave it a try and really like it.
This movie surprised me, really. It has a good picture, some of expensive scenes, nice acting, thrilling plot and twist at the end making it worth your while.
I would definitely recommend it, we need more movies like that in post Soviet countries to prove that Eastern European people can make something good too.

Incongruous storytelling. If you don't know the plot, most likely you won't understand the storyline. So read the book or watch the eponymous series of 2005 by Vladimir Bortko.
The entire movie I was comparing my experience from series of 2005 to this newbie comeout, and leaving all stars to the old one. Sorry, but you can't fit such enormous masterpiece into 2.5 hours movie. A lot of valuable information about characters missing, so you're not really immersed into the plot.
Another bummer is graphic backgrounds of Soviet Era like Atomic Heart game. I guess the whole idea of the Bulgakov novel was to show that the satan lives among us in our reality.
