I caught this film at the Silicon Beach Film Festival which plays at the TCL Theater in Hollywood, which is a great venue. It was first up in the shorts block and what a great way to kick things off! It was funny, quirky, well acted and shot and just overall entertaining. My only complaint is that I want to see it again as it went by so fast!
Fun horror film with great kills and a real commitment from the cast. Wanted more and hope to see a feature version some day. I can see this being a satisfying feature. Danny is hilarious and the writing and vision really come through. No wonder it did so well on the film festival circuit!! Just a good bloody time.
I really enjoyed this film. Lorissa Julianus is a real standout here. However, I also have to give props to the other cast, the crew and especially the director, CJ Julianus. It's clever, quirky and fun to watch. However, my favorite scene comes later in the film where we learn Ava's backstory. It was surprisingly heart-breaking, well-written and beautifully performed. Definitely the scene that stuck with me the most. I was also impressed to learn that Lorissa Julianus not only stars in the film, but she also wrote, co-produced, edited, performed a song AND painted the art in the film. Wow! Beyond a triple threat! Congrats to all involved. Well done. I can't wait to see what you do next. :-)
