Hard, harsh. Hopeless AND full of wonder. What a heart wrenching tale. I knew I should see this. Thank you all for making such a mind stretching thing. You made my heart hurt AND sing. WOW. Natural, brutal, human , mystical - frankly it shouldn't have worked, but it does AND in such a matter of fact way.
Crazy, cooky, over the top, sure know you're alive at times like these. Never watched the actual show, loved this production. Frantic and funny, showed a whole lot about the industry in the 70s, 2" or 1 " tape, I couldn't tell. And the job demarcations - give me strength! AND the contracting, hilarious but true! It showed a changing scene, perhaps less grotesque than it actually was, but a challenge to the ghastly feathered ladies and their ugly, aging overlords who held the stage during our formative years. A must for anyone who was young in the industry in the 70s . Thanks I felt every excruciating minute.
So great to finallly hear such an authentic aboriginal voice in a show like this. Loved it. Accolades to all involved. Funny, rude, tough and oddly heart-warming. Glorious imagery. The landscape and caravan interiors speak volumes. The depiction of the white folk is adorably deplorable, just as it should be. And of the black folk, subtle, despite their harsh, extenuating circumstances. Great acting and casting. Well written, directed and produced. Thanks Freda's offspring, and all involved, you're a bloody inspiration. And the music - hilariously appropriate! I felt like I was back in Alice Springs.
