This movie is the quintessential 80s Schwarzenegger. From the very beginning we see Matrix introduced by carrying a massive log on his shoulder, and I love the close up shot of his massive bicep.
Then we have the one liners. I don't think any other film has this many hilarious one liners.
And finally, watching Arnold mercilessly slaughter battalions of soldiers, holding a machine gun one handed, while never once being hit by what must've been thousands of bullets from an army who actually somehow believed they could kill Arnold.
Great iconic movie. I loved watching it as a kid in the 90s and still love and rewatch every few years. But god my girlfriend really hates it, or rather hates the fact that when it's my turn to pick something it's always Predator, Terminator etc.

Saw this when I opened up Netflix and looked it up on here so I don't waste my time. So before going in I knew that this is a very low budget film shot on a crowd funding campaign for about 2.5 million which is pennies in film production terms.
Let me tell you. Absolutely nothing about this film feels low budget. The direction and cinematography are phenomenal. The special effects are so well done you would think this is high budget production for a big screen release worldwide. The actors though mostly unknowns do an amazing job. They even managed to get a few recognizable faces in there, especially the guy that plays Han in the Fast series.
The premise and story are quite interesting and kept me engaged. The script is well paced. I definitely recommend this to any fan of action/ science fiction films. On to watch part II.
