Unlike most Angel Studios fare this does NOT have explicit religious messaging and is just a straight up horror movie for kids. Real good, lots of fun. Which being for kids does mean there isn't any deaths or full-frontal nudity(the two things expected of all horror movies) but that means it has to be more creative. It succeeds in what a lot of these "artsy" horror movies that are like "oh, its slow and boring on purpose because its about like trauma or whatever" fail to do. The real monster is grief while still being a fun and exciting movie.

Love seeing Tony Hale and Darcy Carden and the girl playing Amber was real cute.

Turned this on for some white noise but it was really good. It's sort of a comedy-horror picture but the blistering pace means it often forgets the horror in favor of jokes and random nonsense. When the killer was revealed I couldn't tell for a while because there were so many plots going on.

I've seen some boring "dramas" called "surreal" and they aren't. THIS is a surrealist comedy: weird stuff going on characters plow through without acknowledging, suicide jokes, . Such a fun ride, every part of it works so well. The effects, the wardrobe, the choreography, the nauseating camera work, Josh Hutcherson could truly do no wrong.

Be upfront I gave it a 1 because it has smoking otherwise is an 8 or 9.

Now THIS is a Joker origin story, not like those trash movies they're making now calling Joker movies. Very "One Bad Day" vibe, buttonedup lawyer meets totally nutso chick and she systemically rips his life apart. She cracks jokes and kills people(except not really because it's PG) and he's hooked. Would've been way better R with nudity and comedically gory violence but I get it, that kind of picture is a hard sell And apparently they had a real cougar running around, ya love to see it. I figured it was a really good looking puppet like "they wouldn't have her touching a real cougar out here"
