I have a hard time finding Netflix original movies that I enjoy. They either have a pacing or structure problem that makes them basically unwatchable for me.
I watched The Adam Project hoping that wouldn't be true and scored big. Disclosure, I like Ryan Reynolds' brand of humor, and it was quite evident here.
It's entertaining from start to finish, has all the love stories (father-son, romantic, loving one's self), fighting, explosions, time travel worldbuilding that didn't make me mad, and ***SPOILER*** (sort of but not really) a happy ending that included some very nice wind down/wrap up with the characters.
Was it epic? Deeply moving? Nah. But it was absolutely entertaining, warm, funny, and good enough I watched it twice. (Hence my 10 rating; 10s are movies I re-watch). It's exactly the kind of movie I wish Netflix would make more of.

I'd forgotten how much I adored Marc Blucas. (I'm familiar with him from his days on Buffy.) He plays a great sweet romance lead. He comes across as the kind of guy you love to love =) This was an enjoyable, heart-warming film in a cozy, small-town setting with solid acting. I'd watch more like this is a heartbeat. I'd love to see him in a Hallmark cozy mystery as a romantic lead. One can hope...
