A predictable plot. Enjoyable but spoiled by the acting of young Mr Neeson (false accent- very weak and reedy voice) and Mr Neeson attempting an English accent too. Saying that, Neeson senior is always watchable.
The story is written by James D'Arcy who is a great actor who we need to see more of.
Junior pronouncing quick as quack was distracting. I had to rewind to make out what he was saying (a quack sale). Glasses in the empty restaurant turned the right right way up despite being closed until the following night.

From the opening scene when an English knight is speaking with a Muslim after the crusades, and the Muslim is speaking with a strong American accent, to the skateboarding friar, I could tell this film was not going to be good
The actress playing the Princess with her fake English accent and her pouty mouth and modern looks (and wooden performance) was miscast- or maybe she was cheap to hire?. What on earth was Joan Plowright doing in this? She must have been told it was a serious drama
Patrick Swayze with a facelift and playing an English soldier, again with a NY accent. Obviously this film was not to be taken seriously. And here's us thinking it was going to be an historical drama😀
The worst was yet to come the bloopers, obviously deliberate, at the end of the film were more cringeworthy and humorous.
I thought that the current film of The Roses was bad, but this comes a close second.
