I watch A LOT of horror movies, and have seen my share of really poor films. Here is a list of those I have enjoyed recently. Not a huge fan of Slasher/Torture genre, so mostly supernatural/paranormal. Some are real trashy but I enjoyed them. I have left out some more mainstream movies, such as Poltergeist, The Frighteners etc, which I enjoyed, but were more Hollywood.

This is a list of Horror movies I have come across, mostly by accident, but thoroughly enjoyed. Although I do like the big franchises such as Insidious and The Conjuring, it's always a pleasant surprise to find something a little off the beaten path. Some of the movies listed here, although starting out as fringe movies, have been pulled into the spotlight by word of mouth, and feature on many lists such as this one.
