I hate people that give 1 star reviews for a solid movie. They clearly are haters and biased. I enjoyed the movie. The kills were for once original and for the most part they have not been done before. The movie was somewhat predictable as most slashers and horror movies are. Of course this is a 6 but I gotta give it 8 to make up for the haters and unrealistic reviews. Great quality kills. Solid directing. Descent acting. None of those things warrant a 1 star review also they don't warrant a 8 star review but I'm a realist. This is a good slasher and fun movie to watch. Nothing is bad and it all works but compared to scream 6 it's definitely nothing even close. Scream 6 is top notch this is mid notch. I was satisfied and it was solid.

I absolutely love Justin. He's never been one of my favs but I've always found him solid. The scariest part of this movie was seeing Justin's Passion go down the drain. He's not a master of horror but he gave one of the best performances in any horror movie which is jeepers kreepers. It's pretty hard to top that acting job and he's done some solid work since. He's good at comedy but what was this? Story sucked, not enough Christmas. No Christmas music during the horror scenes which is just wrong. Cute characters and I don't care about the LGBTQ part in fact seeing those two cuties kiss was the only saving grace.

I'm specifically giving it 7 stars to make up for the odd people that give it 1 star. I mean let's be honest it's a 6 regardless for the actors and the budget. I'm not sure why 1 star reviewers don't realize that none of us listen to their review or attempt to read it. We see 1 star and we know they have something personal against it. Weather it be offended or whatever belief they have. I'm surprised they aren't smart enough to realize if they gave it 5 stars we would atleast read what they say and actually consider their opinion. This movie is odd. Well directed, great camera work. Solid acting but not rememberable even though Ethan Hawke is one of my favourite actors. I love Julia Robert's and Mahershala Ali none of them really stood out. Script wasn't great. The apocalypse wasn't too far fetched but the reaction of people kinda was. Just not much to the movie but definitely watch it and see for yourself it definitely isn't garbage.
