This is a slow burn from Nuri, it is the first film that I watched from him, going into it I was aware that it is about police procedure,
After the Prologue it begins on the countryside dusk of Turkey and you realize that the police along with the murderers in their cars are looking for the place where the body might be hidden
the characters of various people on the hunt peels of like onion slowly
You are left wondering that what the IQ of these Manboys really is , with an exception of one
You have a hothead Chief alongwith a prosecutor who believes in things that are questionable for someone on his position, and staff that forgets the most mundane things required to go on a hunt like this
You started to form opinions just like the most intelligent man amongst them would
But Nuri is setting you up for the climax because he has something up his sleeve that he wants you to feel alongwith the person who is thinking just like amongst those men,
People are all intelligent and dumb in their own regards but as we step into someone's shoes is when we truly understand how things are
What I loved about it besides this was the fact that not everyone can see and experience the life to fullest but only a fragment of it as various people experiences their own version of the same incidence, but we as an audience are made aware of where the Apple lands after falling from the tree *Pun intended*, perception of who the murderer is, what really went down with the woman who knew the exact time of her death and the aftermath which involves the prosecutor, what went down in the autopsy room are all good questions which might feel like simple and dumb choices but you have to really step into the shoes of each of those individuals to truly understand it.

we all Can do things we otherwise Wont even think of, only if we are tested under right circumstances. initially after trying everything that every human in his situation would do and even much more, he gives up hope but only after beautiful sign from his GOD he realize that his life is worth living and he cannot waste it , and that was the ONLY motivation he had throughout the story that was dividing the often bleak line between his life and death. And now as i have seen it i don't think anyone could have embodied Shaurya better than Rajkummar who did an amazing job of playing a guy who met his real self in the face of his 'worst nightmare' .
STORY : 10/10 SCREENPLAY AND DIRECTION : 10/10 PERFORMANCE : 10/10 PRODUCTION: movie did a great job of sticking the story to the point and cutting all the unnecessary cost of production. music was commendable.
other than that personally i felt movie also had a tone of modern hi-rise culture under which people have lost the real connection and empathy for others and also as we do not realize how alone and 'TRAPPED' we are until things turn for worse.

First of all to begin with i would say that this is romance in its purest of form and Mr. Motwane did it again after his masterpiece Udaan .... form , execution , structure , text , dialogues , score and music works perfectly......... Chemistry between Ranveer and Sonakshi works on various levels and the poetic yet realistic treatment of subject and enigmatic approach towards matter gave the two perfectly written characters... First half is an amazing look into Indian history along with doomed romance which would have given birth to beautiful things but wasn't destined to prosper...... second half is the look into the consequences of the choices and is way too dark and realistic in comparison to the fairy-tale approach of first half........
Might be too 'different' for mainstream audiences , but this movie have one thing that most of the movies now a days from Bollywood lacks , Class....
if you want to witness sheer romance and meditate silence and feel the warmth and cinema is the medium that does this the best for you..... then Lootera is the thing for you.....
Anurag You Are Great!
Balaji thanks for backing up this classic timeless piece of work
And for Mr. Vikramaditya Motwane i would say.... keep Em coming man.....you are the future!
