The show itself would be good, the special effects are good and so is the casting, but it's run time just shy of 30 minutes means it can't waste time. Unfortunately it does. ALOT. With scene after scene of bad country music. So be prepared to have to skip so many long absolute crap country music videos and get just a few minutes dedicated to the actual plot in each episode. I live in the area of North Georgia where this is set and this is just awful in terms of location, accent, music, stereotypes, culture you name it....it's downright ridiculous, even offensively fake southern. Why spend so much time in the show on the thing you are cleary getting wrong?!! You could easily edit the whole first season down into one decent movie if you cut the fake Hollywood redneck crap. What a waste of talent. Hopefully season 2 (if there is one) stops being such a TOURIST and focuses more on the plot.

I dont get the negative reviews, this movie is loads of fun. Its B movie bad in a good way, and its not overly painful or full of oneliners. Its actually a bit of a tearjerker...but in a good way, like a western. Great cast and they did a great job with what they had. The CG didnt make me motion sick, and thats saying alot for a space movie, I never even got vertigo. So its ok for sensitive people. I usually get vertigo just thinking about space. No gore though, I think it could of done with a little more gore for a disaster movie. You kind of expect the occasional gory death in a disaster film...

So it starts out with hilarious gore and the worst giants Ive ever seen, seems like fun! Mst3k fun! But dont be fooled... Its turns into a painful boring mess with this obnoxious terrible actress just actin like a tool in every scene, its literally unwatchable. Shes just acting weirdly smarmy 24/7 and it makes no sense. Why? She was supposedly called in for safety concerns but dressed to party... It seems like this was a case of someone dating the director or producer of something if I had to guess...it wasnt talent...at least make it fun its its supposed to be fun the audience, not just the creeps on the casting couch.
