Another great year for movies, as always it seems that the year which closes the decade offers some of the best films but more than that a kind of reflection and synthesis through cinema of what the past ten years have matured in culture and society. It might just be an impression, but go check out 2009, 1999 and even 1989 to an extent and the results are quite surprising.

86 films seen in cinemas this year. Wonderful, truly wonderful year to be back in the cinema, even though they were closed for almost half a year so many good stuff came out. Great year!

2012 was a great year for cinema, I was constantly seeing really good to great movies in the theater. I saw 40 films, this was the first year I started being a film geek, I didn't manage to see everything I wanted, probably not used to seeing so many movies at the cinema. Favourite Films of the Decade (2010-2019)

2017 was thruthfully a wonderful year for cinema; there might not have been an absolute masterpiece in the mix as maybe in some past years, but the amount of beautiful, inspiring movies that gave me new wonderous cinema-going memories is really overwhelming and this is definetly the most hard list I have ever had to do, the order is almost random as all the films in the list have given me something that I will forever cerish in my heart. All of the 16 films I had to get in there are special films to me - it breaks my heart to have to classify them, that's hwo good of a year 2017 was.

2014 is a year that will be remembered in movie history alongside 1941, 1957, 1960, 1977, 1994 and 1999. Mark my words, this year was a special year to be alive for a movie fan, never did in a single year so many amazing movies come out. Moreover we got so much variety, extraorinary animated films, great blockbusters and even better indie movies. I am so happy to be alive in 2014, what a blast it was. I saw 78 movies in the theaters and gave a series of nines that I never recall doing in any year, this was such a good year that of all the movie in my list I could have seen almost all of them topping my list in most of the past years. So happy for cinema right now. Honorable Mentions: Gone Girl, The Imitation Game, Selma, Nightcrawler, 22 Jump Street and (surprisingly) Mockingjay: Part 1.

A very good year for cinema, I love the variety of the movies that made it to my top. Inception is simply a masterpiece and I will absolutely not be surprised if it ends up taking the top spot when in ten years I'll be doing the top movies of the decade.

Just as last year, I love the variety of the movies in my list. Amongst a couple of great indies, there were extraordinary blockbusters that embraced story as much as spectale. 2011 wasn't a standout year for cinema, but at least we didn't miss some great movies.

76 new films seen this year around. Not the greatest one in terms of average quality of the movies, but that cannot take away from the excellence and variety of the pictures on this list, so glad to see great work coming from all around the globe: from blockbuster cinema to intimate humansit works, from classic melodramas to high-concept horror I can confidently say I was taken through a cathartic whirlwind of emotions this year. Honorable mentions: First Reformed, Leave No Trace, Sorry to Bother You, Eigth Grade.

2013 was not the greatest year for cinema to me, but anyways it managed to produce some very good films. I saw 48 movies, not as much as I hoped, probably because I'm still getting used to going at the cinema more than once a week, but I'm hoping to finally reach a satysfing goal in 2014. It’s that time of year again to put toghther the list of my favourite movies of the year. I must admit that taking a look back this was a better year than I thought, it actually took some time to narrow the list down to ten. Of course this was not 2014, nothing will ever come close to the excellence of that year in the forseeable future, still a very good one, much better than others. One masterpiece, one almost and I consider all of the rest of the films in the list great ones. I am happy for cinema right now, I saw a lot of inspiring stuff this year and I am looking forward to another year of movies. I saw 88 film realeses at the cinema and a couple more at home, I might have reached 100 total this year but I am not sure, definetly looking into making the 100 mark in 2016. A big goal for me this year was the fact that I managed to review every sinlge realese.Number 4, 5 and 6 on the list are almost randomly ordered, I could not decide in anyway which of the three I prefer over another. Honorable mentions go to: Avengers: Age of Ultron, Paper Towns, Spy, Mission Impossible: Roughe Nation, The Night Before.
