The main issue of this film is the title, they should have called it something else. The original The Crow was brilliant and Brandon Lee is a hard act to follow. Added to that Brandon Lee died during the making of it turned it into something iconic but impossible to replicate. If they didn't say it was a remake of The Crow I honestly don't think this film would have gotten so much hate. Because there is so much love for the original any remake would always be hated and resented. The film itself was pretty good but not as a remake. It should've of been a standalone film about love, revenge and the supernatural.
It's silly... completely tongue in cheek... but really good and fun to watch. It's got a lot of favourite actors... one complaint.. I am younger, yep YOUNGER than Salma Hayek and I look much older than her... not fair...!!
As a 52 year old who grew up with Mary Poppins I was worried about watching this. It is good but for people like me who knows the words of the songs and can easily sing along it's just not quite practically perfect in every way. Although as an adult it's interesting to see a song and dance about Gaslighters when Mary Poppins is in essence an expert gaslighter...!!
