There are a lot of things that make this show one of the best ever. The top of the list is the dialogue in my opinion. The characters are consistent and maintain their identity in all situations. I get very annoyed with shows that have characters saying and doing things that don't make sense in order to advance the storyline, this show does not do this. The characters are flawed and they behave how one would expect them to in the circumstances presented. Politics are very well written into this show, as is the dialogue that accompanies it. There is a lot of subtlety and you need to pay attention to this show to get the most out of it. The character interactions are handled masterfully, but it doesn't spell things out for the viewer. The reviews above 3 stars must be paid for. This movie was awful. It starts out fine, but the glimpses of poor writing start to appear quickly. Honestly I finished this movie just to try and figure out how such a dud was rated so highly. It could have progressed similar to Limitless and been a good movie, but it went completely off the rails after the first hour and just continued to get worse. Do not waste your time.

I love this show for the characters, the dialogue, the story, and the relationships. It's a bit over the top at times, but that's what makes it so fun. It takes itself seriously, but not too seriously. The relationships between the characters are very non-traditional and I enjoy almost every character in their own way. I've read some harsh reviews about this show and they just seem completely unfounded to me. My only advice would be to watch the show. If you don't like it, you'll probably know soon enough that it's not for you. If you are like me, this is one of those shows that you'd be very sorry for missing out on.
