I was a bit sceptical when I saw they remaking this classic story. If you haven't seen this film yet. Do yourself a favour and don't pass on this gem. I would love to see more Dalene Matthee adaption in the future.
This film is an adaptation of a Broadway play, of the same name, with the same cast (so keep that in mind while watching).
I'm glad I new this before watching American Son. Made the movie so much better and the dialogue really carried the movie. I'm not white nor black so I'm fortunate to watch with an open mind.
