As I understand from some comments made by the director, I must have seen the Weinstein studio cut that tried to make the movie into a romcom it was not supposed to be. So hoping to see the original version some day in hopes it has a cleaner vision. I still enjoyed the heck out of it. It has character and a point of view. I wish it went somewhere different in the end or was turned into a mini-series, I didn't want to say goodbye to the characters and I wish there was a chance for the female leading character to develop on her own more and grow into herself. Instead she ended up feeling like an accessory to the male leading character. Still, I expect to rewatch it one day and enjoy it once more.
I find it mostly has the same spirit as the first part, although the ridiculousness of the baddies is amped up too much.
Yes, this is bolshevik propaganda. It's also a fun adventure film. A beloved childhood classic (although that sounds a bit scary).
I wish there was more set up for some of the turns, like the wedding scene. And more development of the interpersonal relationships of the main characters. As it stands now, they've become diligent soldiers that have only one goal - to move the plot forward aka to serve the red army. I wish we saw them as people, mates, childhood friends and romantic partners more (something clearly present in the first part).

It's often obvious by the final episode who's going to win. This time, the format and the level of the finalists left me on the edge of my seat. Any one of them would've been a deserving winner. The fashion and entertainment level from all of them has been great througout the season.
The lipsync smackdown didn't go as I expected, and it was more fun for it. I thought the judgment fair. The charisma and the humour won over polish and beauty at all else equal - not surprising considering previous Drag Race seasons.
The ending was camp and stupid in the best way. The unserious energy took over the stage and me, too. I haven't felt so involved and connected to what was going on in probably never. Top notch Drag Racing! Although I understand why other people were upset.
I had a grand time.
Writing this having watched the whole season for the second time. Got the same reaction out of me as the first time.
