Its just a very boring, and meh sitcom. It wasn't funny, or charming. It doesn't help that the acting feels very stale and bad, and I know acting in sitcoms usually isn't the best, but it feels worse than usual. I say avoid this one. The concept of it was good enough. A dad suddenly not having a job so suddenly he has to become a house husband. I don't think that has really been done before, so at least its a new idea. Only thing is, is that it just doesn't have any charm. Why do people like Friends, King of Queens, Seinfield, or Everybody Loves Raymond? Because they were funny and charming. Most of the characters are usually likable in some way, and they're good to have on for reruns or whatever. The problem is, that See Dad Run has none of that. It isn't funny. It isn't charming. It is a very boring sitcom.
The art style is ugly, the animation is bad, the plots are meh, and the characters are cliché' and annoying. Western animated TV is getting so much better with ATLA, Legend of Korra, MlP:FiM, Young Justice, and Green Lantern The Animated series. Its getting to be amazing... Wild Grinders is holding it back though. Nobody cared while making this show to try and make it good. What could have possibly been the second Rocket Power.. Was not. The other reviews are probably lies done by marketing team. There is no way anyone can actually REALLY enjoy this this cartoon. Possibly if you're a fan of the creator, but that is really it. I say avoid this one and give some better cartoons your attention. This one obviously does not have love and care put behind it that is needed to create a great animated show.
I'm a huge fan of How to Train Your Dragon. In fact I would rate it as my favorite animated movie, even more so than anything Pixar can come up with. I love the feeling of magic it gave me, and the interesting characters and setting. So of course I was worried about Dragons, considering the show for Kung Fu Panda was disappointing. I expected the same amount of great character development and heart touching story lines from Kung Fu Panda Legends of Awesome, but didn't get those. I was expecting Dragons to suffer the same fate, and I was wrong. Right away, I notice that the animation quality is just better than other Dreamworks animated shows. then there's the plot. No little 15 minute stories here, instead we get 30 minute plots that show a problem, involve character development followed by the solution to the problem. Most of the voice actors have returns and the music sounds incredibly, so the sound quality of the show is amazing. The writing is pretty much on par with the movie as well, and the jokes are funny and witty. Its a truly great show that CN should be glad that they picked up.
