I couldn't stop laughing and my husband kept hugging the dogs cause they are fixed lol. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. It took some getting used to the voices and the vulgarity that was found funny but cringe. All the characters were likable. Beck Beckett as Sterling was hilarious!! It was a SNL kind of cast without Tina Fey. It was great to have that side wrenching laughs at Bobby, Fred and Beck. Then Idris Elba as Rocco was startling at first but I love what he did with the voice. It was almost like it was written for his delivery. Too funny!!!
OMG!! I read the reviews before I watched it and they weren't all that good, but no one knows horror movies like this, that slow and building suspense thrills. AND OMG!! The editing room did an amazing job with the angles the quiet horror that if you don't watch intensely you will miss some of the best parts! It was the BEST horror I have seen in a long time. I want to look through the credits to follow their work. I was so impressed and highly entertained. If you like that quiet horror that scares you with what looks like a simple scene, trust it isn't, there is more horror there. I'm going to watch it several times to honor the full experience these movie houses gave. If you know someone suffering from depression please call or text the 988 suicide and crisis helpline.
Wow this was great! A interesting new take on the zombie genre, with a little mind bending misdirection and suspense. Yes it's a bit of slow burn but it was worth it. I just came across this movie on Prime. We had never heard of it, but we gave it a shot and were glad we did. The acting is passable, led by the Matrix's Carrie Ann Moss. The characters play out very well, and there are some really tense moments. Some may call it derivative, but all art is, and this movie is original enough in a lot of ways. At the end of the day it was an entertaining film with an ending that makes you ponder the power of unconditional love.
