  • DRIVEL- It's hard to see past Bobby Brown's angelic glow of wholesome victim. Is Angela Basset sleeping with him now?

Is Angela Basset screwing Bobby Brown? Biography? The Enquirer has more depth.

WHo knew? All these years, poor bobby... I totally believed he would have always said no to any drug-because he's seen it before- and It only ended up down a bad road.

I was so surprised to learn how much he had to say NO to drugs and look after his coked out lady. What a guy. Whitney snorted and abused drugs their entire marriage. He just held the purse...so to speak.

I was so stimulated by the riveting acting and believable dialog that I did dishes, and started laundry, fed the lizard. I came back 53 minutes later to,again, Whitney, snorting something and poor bobby sipping only 3.2 beers...unloved,unnoticed and misunderstood. His own talent denied.

should have titled this...2 hours of Whitney snorting,Bobby drinking and loving unconditionally. All this time,i thought he was sweaty, erratic and grinding his teeth for other reasons. I stand corrected.

  • missed the mark, "meh"

I haven't finished watching it yet,but I am well into the apex of the story. This being a book, clearly the screenplay and directors were so familiar with the story, they didn't allow for any feelings to mature and grow for any character. I wanted it to be more. I wanted to have a good emotional cry. I wanted to grasp how their bond actually grew.I wanted it to be more than it was. I felt like there was missing and important emotional dialogue that we were not privy to, but helped to bond them. It felt inauthentic and choppy. Even in emotional filled scenes. It just sorta thuds there. I think I'll read the book to FEEL this one.

  • WONDERFUL INDIE FILM! I laughed,I cried,I empathized I sympathized,I recognized. 2 thumbs up

Clearly this was a life story. The ups and downs and twists are so true to life. I followed along and just like my title. I laughed,I cried,I empathized I sympathized,I recognized. I am now 42 so I am at this crossroads myself. The reason, the religions, the relationships, all might be different, but they are all so very much the same. I was turned on by the preview. I love a good indie film and this I quantify as one of the best I've seen in ages. I have a new respect for Zach Baraff. I was able to see past his scrubs and see him as this man. When I saw it was written and directed by he and his brother, I felt like we had just seen a real family history. Real life. You can't make that crap up. If you liked the way way back, you will love this one too. Sadder themed, but just as wonderful a ride.
