  • 1st season great, 2nd even better

I was surprised to see the low score of the show here. Then if you count all Taylor Swift fans who probably hated on it just because, it makes sense again. I like her and her music, but I don't want her to stop this show from getting a 3rd season. That's just annoying.

The plot is good, the acting is good. Yes, Georgia is intense, but it was part of the character and it made it so much more impactful when she was scared, hurt or sad. I think I cried every time she was vulnerable because it felt so real.

So let's hope for a season 3. This show is great for someone who wants a show with good pace, little misteri, dark backstory and loads of romance. In a clever and entertaining way.

  • Great chemistry but lazy writing

I really like the chemistry between the lead characters. If you want romance I can fully recommend it. They built it up nicely and it feels very credible.

However, there are obvious misses and lazy screenwriting and it is really a shame. Some characters just disappear like they were never in the show and the last episodes are a bit too cringe to watch. The mother is just insanely annoying and I can't understand how no one can say anything.

But the story is fun to start with and only in Korea you can make it work between a chef, a rich business daughter and a gangster.

So, most of all, I really liked the couple and their acting, the show got me inspired and I enjoyed the bromance so that's why it got an 8.

  • It has everything it needs to be a great show.

I have thought about watching this for a long time, but thought it would be too silly. Then I gave it a chance and it was waaay above my expectations. Mainly because the storyline is not as light as it seems. There's a lot of intrigues mixed up with funny and romantic moments.

Definitely agree that there is great chemistry between the lead characters and they play the part. It was great development of their roles.

Also, there are numerous times when you have no idea what will happen with the plot. It goes up, down and sideways.

And there is very nice cinematography involved which is a massive plus. Beautiful scenery and actors, what more do you need?

If in doubt, watch it. It is worth your time!

  • I wanted to give 10, until the end...

The story was captivating and inspiring up until the last 2 episodes. It felt like they built up too much, just to leave us hanging at the end. However, I have had a similar reaction to other K-dramas recently so it might be how they want us to never expect the ending of a show.

That said, the actors and directors do a great job. It's definitely a show worth watching if you want something that has it all: inspiration, hardships, love, friendship, quirkiness and great old-school fashion moments.

  • Good story, but sometimes messy screenwriting and effects

It's a good and captivating show, however I agree that it lacked in the delivery towards the end. The script felt off and there were some ridiculous effects that could have been left out. Even so, I wish to see the next season. It's still very interesting and it's nice to see this kind of magic show on Netflix. So. Looking forward to season 2.

And I wouldn't want anyone else to play Arthur.
