I have watched the entire Bosch series four times, and Bosch Legacy twice. In my opinion, it is one of the finest cinematic productions I have ever seen. Several members of law enforcement have told me that it is the most realistic depiction of their profession that they have experienced.
My skepticism started with the introduction of the Ballard character in the final episode of "Legacy". That whole episode just wrapped up too neatly, too quickly. This carried over into the new series. To be honest, my wife and I couldn't even make it through the first episode. Gone were the wonderful, in depth characters of the Bosch Universe. They were replaced by something resembling a combination of Criminal Minds and The Drew Carey Show.
A sad legacy for a legendary series.

Poor acting. Worse writing. Worse yet editing. Painful to watch. There's a reason that most of the actors in this movie have so few credits. Geoffrey Lewis is wasted in this picture.
Honestly, probably one of the worst films I have ever sat through.
The best part of this was the cheesy, stop-motion, special effects of the Toys of Terror. Sort of like an early 80's Toy Story.
Set near Mt. Baker in Washington state, the architecture of the "house" was from 50 years before that area of Washington was even settled, and the deciduous forest was obviously from the eastern half of the country.
