How the heck did this get signed off at budget level, let alone be made and then released? Hate it when people pass rubbish like this off as hyper-intelligent, artistic and full of symbolism . It's just crap!

If you can honestly admit that the original Matrix movie was indeed an iconic masterpiece of cinema and everything else the Wachowskis did after that was mediocre at best, then you will.get my reference to Carl Douglas' ONLY real contribution to the arts was the catchy Kung fu fighting. Similarly, this latest offering is a terrible attempt to cash in on the original, with plenty of flashbacks to it throughout. Terrible concept and execution - I'm surprised Keanu agreed to return. The new characters replacing the originals just flopped too. Who picked morpheus' wardrobe?!! Wachowskis should retire - they have nothing original left to offer. (But thanks for the original) I've given a generous six because it was nice to see Neo opposite Trinity again but overall the film is mega boring and a rehash of the original trilogy.
How the hell did this slow nonsense win any oscars, let alone beat picture?!!! I like FM, 3 billboards, Fargo - great work. But didn't get the BA nod for this one, a bit like how Casey Affleck won for MBTS over RG in LA LA!!!! Bonkers!!!! Can't believe we've gone from Parasite to this in the space of 12 months. Don't feel obliged to watch this because of its awards haul, otherwise you'll be left wondering, and maybe wandering too, how?
