I like Kevin Hart, but I'm not really a fan of his movies. It's why I almost didn't start this series. He's great in this though. And so is the series. No obligatory comedy sermons. Hart basically plays himself as if he got himself into serious trouble. And he makes it believable. Really well written dialogue. Strong performances. Wonderful pace. Clever premise. No strong soundtrack though. Would have been nice. Not a fan of dramas that could never happen. These performances make you feel like it could.
... but this comes darn close. Superb acting and avoids all the senseless and untimely "for effect" cliches which are so prevalent in most series these days. Unlike many shows, it builds on the story and doesn't fizzle after the first episode or two. I actually gets better as it goes. Well edited, great cinematography and believable. The best show in some time.
Anyone that says this is "Too Political" is either lying to themselves or in complete denial or needs to come to terms that what is reported here is true. Decent documentary. Obviously true from the way it's laid out.
