Yet another solid installment in this franchise, probably one of the most consistent trilogies I've seen, the overused murder mystery theme across the industry manages to be relevant in this movie still!
After 3 movies you'd think that originality would be an issue but on the contrary! The pace and the way this story is told is key for the quality of this move, amazing actors, great performances, charismatic leads and side characters, great editing and directing, all of this comes together and the result is a really solid and entertaining murder story.
The twists are original and not far fetched, they keep the audience curious to see the outcome and the chemistry of the two leads is outstanding.
The cherry on top is the comedy with mild political commentary and the recipe is complete!
Really creative content, not revolutionary but when it's well made and well acted, what a difference it makes.

It's not an in depth study of interracial relationships and how culture shocks shape the family dynamic, it's a Christmas comedy!
I feel people are reading way too much into it, have you ever seen Christmas movies? They are goofy, lighthearted, unrealistically happy and often poorly acted (which was actually not the case here).
Apparently this was based on the director's sister real life, and clearly a comedic and exaggerated approach to the struggle of becoming part of a family with such different life styles and traditions.
I'm neither Indian or Norwegian and people have the right to be offended, but if anyone watching believes that all Norwegian or Indians are like this, it's a problem with the audience and not with the movie.
Stereotypes have always been part of comedy, specially in a light hearted Christmas movie, people take stuff so seriously this days, it's really an unfair score.
I liked it, better than most Christmas movies that are made, it was a fun watch!

I don't watch Christmas movies expecting high quality but rather light hearted silly stories that match this season, this was dark..
I wasn't loving the movie, the main character is not likable and it doesn't help that the first act went on for too long. Plus the chemistry with her counterpart was really shady and not at all engaging.
But then again it's a Christmas movie and the actors are good so we kept watching, but that twist almost at the end took a really dark turn.
It just made the whole thing really depressive and to an extent sinister... it ceased to be a silly romantic Christmas movie just like that.
I don't know who sign off on that but it wasn't a fun movie at all...
