Who possibly wanted this as an episode. They took a character with zero redeeming qualities and forced a stupid plot in an attempt to redeem someone who was willing to literally torture a baby lmao and it's not even a fun or interesting story. It's mind numbingly dull and I couldn't believe how much it just kept going. I kept expecting a cutaway to a proper story but it just KEPT meandering. To add on to the insult it's one of the longest episodes of series. Seriously, what was going on. Season Three has a notorious reputation for being basically garbage. And this is a prime example of why. Season two wrapped everything up, this is the epitome of forced and unnecessary.
In the way that only daytime television can be, every scene, moment, and line of dialogue feels stilted, unnatural, or just plain stupid. The effects are terrible, the characters are one dimensional, and the story barely makes sense. And I don't mean the scifi aspects don't make sense, I mean the decision making of not only the characters but the focus of the writers. Something vaguely interesting will happen and the writing will instead focus on the laziest perspective possible, usually coming to a squabbling of human drama. Meanwhile, there's dinosaurs and survival adventure aspects but hey, let's focus on the most static and NPC behaving idiots we can.
Top to bottom trash. A great example of how mainstream television channel shows treat their audiences like they have the brain power of toddlers.

I really loved this movie. It feels like a classic creepypasta story you'd read online and presented in several different formats. You have perspectives of TikTok bloggers, vlog adventurers, mainstream news outlet and interviews, and found footage of events. There's a lot of meta humor sprinkled in that is genuinely very funny. I was fully prepared for the jokes to be too cringe to live but I honestly laughed a lot. The demonic entity and the main creepypasta style villain are interesting and exciting. Mostly a run of the mill demon possession story but it's presented in such a fun way that it doesn't feel stale. You can really tell the cast had a good time and everyone is putting their best foot forward and that really scores a lot of points with me. I really urge anyone wanting to see something fresh to check this out.
