So I have followed Louie and his stand up since 2008, and I can say, this one, while very edgy and cringe, fails to reach the same comedy standards he had shown before. Louie talks about serious issues, as always, with very dark, maybe the darkest ones so far, twists. He may have reached that age when he just doesn't censor himself at all anymore, and just brings out the heaviest cingiest jokes out of the bag. While I see this a positive, I think he had done shows in which I experienced huge amounts of bursting into laughter, almost hystrically. I'm not saying this is a bad show, I'm just saying he's done better one in the past.
Come on it's a good fun show, and as a HIMYM fan, I am happy to see once in awhile appearance of old references. It's a cute love story, maybe it's not for you, but the characters have started to grow on me. The jokes have become funnier. I think it's not the best show, but it's fun! And cute!
The style is almost pretty much the same as its predecessor. There are even very similar ideas in terms of story progression. They have tried to keep everything very politically correct. The show has become way more diverse. All in all, I feel like it deserves a chance, and it's easy to start liking it by giving it that time.

I think it's overall not a bad movie, and I recently found out that it's actually very similar to the Mexican title "Battle in Heaven (2005)"
Even the choice of the actor in particular and the ending are quite similar. And I watched this movie at a premiere with the director and producer present. The thing is, which I find quite hypocritical now in hindsight, that the director after the movie went on a rant about how specific the choice of the actor was, and how much the movie fit him. Which by the way, this is not a commentary on the movie itself.
The movie goes on to provide an interesting story about a neglected/humiliated man that loses sense of morality. Yet, I cannot get over the fact that this movie has so many elements in common with the Mexican title.
