First time I started the documentary was just before diner. Meat was on the menu and of course I stopped watching to spare my appetite. Sadly, this is what most cowards would do.
But I made a deal with myself, I promised myself that I would watch this gruesome collection of footage later. And I am glad I did. It truly opened my eyes and I was shocked about the way that our species (the beasts) treated our fellow earthlings (the animals). It shows a lot of concerning facts and I totally agree that we have to change the ways we treat animals.
However, I don't agree that we shouldn't eat meat at all. We are omnivores in the end. But I do think we should treat the animals better. Give them a life worth living, no more pain and a quick death. And the documentary does stimulate me to eat less meat and more meat substitutes. So I think that's a positive thing.
You should watch this documentary in my opinion. It opens your eyes and it contains footage that I had never seen before myself. Perhaps it will convince you to become a better person, that loves the earth and his inhabitants even more.

The second world war ensured tons of documentaries. The information about this topic is overwhelming, but of course you don't want to watch every documentary ever made. But if you don't have a clue where to start, or if you just want a very nice summery of the second world war, then this documentary is a must see in my opinion.
The documentary shows the development of the second world war in a chronological and interesting way. It is narrated from a very objective point of view and therefore the educational level is very high. And the amount of topics is very broad, so you get introduced with every aspect of this heinous period. Due this fact you can orientate what you find interesting and you can search for more documentaries about specific topics later.
The capture my opinion in a short sentence: "Please watch this amazing documentary"!

Unfortunately I cannot give a objective rating about this documentary, because I am a enormous Pearl Jam fan. So the positive feeling that I get when I think of Pearl Jam could influence my view on the documentary.
But I do think that it is worth a watch! It is such an interesting and inspiring band that deserves the attention of the big public. The documentary takes you by the hand and shows you how the band started and which big events occurred in the career of the band. I surely contains a lot of footage that I haven't seen before. So that was a pleasant surprise.
And when you already like Pearl Jam, I think you will appreciate the music even more in the future. So you should watch it definitely.
