The film is one of the best films in Bengali film world.Anjan Das is a superb director and this is a master piece by him.The film deals with the life of a young girl played by Indrani Halder.This is Planman motion's 3rd bengali film and is a big hit like the other two.Great to see so many brilliant scripts and beautiful films. The movie basically is a poetry and the director has brilliantly turned this poem into a film for the silver screen.Indrani is superb as Tukun,the protagonist in the film who has lots of wishes and desires.Soumitra Chatterjee is her father in the film and he is one man who helps her to fulfill her dreams. Saanjhbaatir is a subtle and beautiful movie and is a landmark in Bengali film industry.This one by Anjan Das is a master piece!

dosar is an an excellent Bengali film directed by Rituparno Ghosh and produced by the planman motion pictures.Its the story of a husband and wife and betrayal.The story is a very simple one but has been beautifully executed by the director. Konkona Sen and Prasenjit Chatterjee are in the lead role and are brilliant as always.This film teaches you a lot in its journey.We see a lot and there are moments in the film that leaves you with a deep thought in your mind.The betrayal of a wife by her husband is nothing new.And this concept has been brilliantly shown on screen.I would say this is one of the finest movies that I have seen.Acting wise,konkona and prasenjit are superb in the film.Hats off to the team of dosar,especially rituparno ghosh and his two stars.

The last lear is a Rituparno Ghosh's movie and is fantastic movie by him.The movie is an art film based on Shakespeare's play.The movie casts Mr. Amitabh Bachchan as a lead and he was awesome in his character.The story revolves around Harish Mishra, a retired Shakespearean theater actor who spent precisely thirty years and nine months on stage and then suddenly quit, and his first and last act as a cinema artist. He is immensely passionate about Shakespeare, believes that nothing even comparable can ever be written, knows all his plays by heart, lives in those stories, condemns modern cinema and considers theater as a much higher art form for directors and actors to convey their message to an audience.
