Sorogoyen has outdone himself in this wonderful series, giving us 10 pictures with a year's gap between each one, where he shows us the evolution of the relationship of a contemporary couple, showing us how they spend each first day of the year.
The main couple is brutally natural, expressive, contained, sensitive, realistic, magnetic, charismatic, endearing, adorable and delightfully charming.
The Hollywood Oscar has no category to value and reward this tremendous demonstration of acting that the protagonists give us in each frame of this absolute masterpiece.
Sorogoyen's direction was already perfect in the film "The Kingdom", but here he goes off the scale, drawing all the feelings that the couple goes through during 10 years with the detail, care and precision of a neurosurgeon.
The result cannot be better because perfection cannot be improved.
