The show is different, the premise interesting, but it's cancelled... As expected the first season leaves things on a cliffhanger, opening up the story considerably, only to then not get any continuation into a second season to take it anywhere.
This had good acting and actors, a good story, and while perhaps not an 'explosive blockbuster', at list it wasn't something that turns into an 'explosive diarrhea' after season 3, which has been the average outcome of most stand-out shows on every single producer and platform in the past few years of 'internet cable'.

Season one started ok, then the mystery expanded without really going anywhere, but the most infuriating for me and what would warrant a much lower score than a 7, is the stupid choices and reasoning the characters are scripted to follow... It started of decently but then slowly descended into stupidity... Characters left up in the air, narratives mixed for the sake of something new and to keep you going, asking the same question over and over in the face of evil and doom without clear action when there is nothing to lose, not locking you know..your 'resource' up at night, acting silly and stupid overall just makes the whole thing hard to follow.
... WHY is it SO HARD to stay true to the source material when there is one??? WHY?! :))
Why does it always have to be some side BS and 'different' angle that someone chose to take, at the detriment of an established franchise?
I assume you wanted to capture a larger audience and because this is really only about the money, but GOD it's tiring to see this over and over with different degrees of reinventing the wheel to something terrible.
I think somehow this creative licensing needs to end ffs. You either stay true to source or you don't make the god damn movie.
Write your own original script instead of injecting your poop into established ones!
