Deadpool & Wolverine has some entertaining moments with humour that lands well (except for all the worn-out homoerotic jokes), but falls flat and becomes a victim of its own hype. The narrative leans heavily on the idea that audiences should be in awe of Wolverine's return and his team-up with Deadpool, expecting fans to cheer at every turn.

Unfortunately, the film often feels bogged down by its over-reliance on nostalgia, cameos, and especially meta references. Rather than enhancing the storytelling, these elements come across as superficial and often serve as a cheap trick, adding little real depth. The overemphasis on fan service distracts from the core plot-which is already quite shallow-making the movie feel much longer than it needs to be.

What happens when self-awareness goes rogue?

You get The End of Evangelion, a finale that glorifies its own pretentiousness while leaving any semblance of coherent storytelling in the dust.

The supposed 'pinnacle' of existential anime has finally made it to my 'worst' list. Doubling down on every misguided artistic choice, tripling down on self-awareness and metaphorical gibberish... it transforms an intriguing series into an insufferable spectacle of existential drivel.

The End of Evangelion leaves you in an abyss of confusion and cringe. This finale was a train wreck of pretentiousness that somehow thinks it's being profound. How it's revered, I'm happy that I'll never understand.
