This is an excellent use of real people in fictional situations; think Sherlock Holmes but with Sigmund Freud as the main character. Excellent cinema and ideas push the story along, and despite the language barrier I thoroughly enjoyed the series and really hope that they make another season. This is a really original idea and it's well shot and acted, there really isn't much more to say! If you enjoy Sherlock Holmes books then this will captivate you too.
The term "Fey" refers to a broad category of mythical beings found in the folklore of various European cultures, including Celtic, Germanic, Slavic, and French traditions. While modern depictions often portray them as delicate, winged creatures, the historical understanding of the Fey was much more complex and often sinister.
With this in mind I'm incredibly disappointed with the way the film developed, it just seems incredibly lazy after a promising start. Almost like the writing team changed, or just gave up?

Despite the negative comments that are here, this middle aged white male thoughts this series was superbly acted, well written and shows very clearly, to me at least, that America has not made progress when it concerns institutional racism. Whatever your skin colour this is well written, well acted imaginative stories highlighting black American history and also the supernatural and downright spooky stuff everyone everywhere loves to see. A word for the wardrobe and also the set designers, just brilliant and authentic, to my eye at least! I thoroughly enjoyed the series and would love to see many more on the works! So go on, enjoy yourself and the ride. It's well worth your time.
