I really enjoyed this show. My two favorites that I picked from the beginning made it to the end so that was really exciting although my top favorite took 2nd place.
It was a lot of fun to see such amazing chefs take on these challenges and to see such creative dishes. The judges were very likeable and so were all of the contestants.
Although korean reality competitions seem kinda iffy to me because it seems like the thing that needs to happen for the show to be as dramatic as it could be always seems to happen, I still enjoyed watching this competition.
I watched the final table right after and it made me appreciate this show way more after seeing how bad and manufactured the final table was.

Only got through the first episode and even then I had to skip a bunch of the filler. It's clear the contest is manufactured to present a specific aesthetic of contestants and the winners are chosen to present their message and not based on cooking skill.
There is no possible way the cricket tacos with gold flakes was the best taco dish especially with some of the competitors there. The fish tacos were clearly better. I've eaten crickets and they are ok. They have a similar taste as potatoe chips. No potatoe chips in the world regardless of what seasoning is on it is going to make a better taco them most of the tacos the other competitors presented. Also, adding gold flakes to food is rediculous. It is purely an aesthetic and does nothing for the flavor.
As soon as I saw the one chef in the pair I said they will win the first contest because of socio-politics and I was right.
After finishing culinary class wars, this competition was like watching Top Chef Jr edition but with less talent.
