Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy in Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

One of my favorite sub-genres of horror is the home invasion genre. I love the way these movies build tension through the use of displaying the architecture of the home, things lurking around corners, creaking floorboards, twisted home invaders. Some of these aren't strictly home invasion movies, some of them have some other settings, some have twists but all have home invasion at their core. All are ranked based on features I love about these types of movies.Scariness. Cinematography. Intensity. Story. and then I included Gore cuz I know some horror fans want to know what they are in for. The final ranking is their overall quality of film compared to others of the genre.
