I think this might be my favorite special of Dusty Slay's to date. His humor can be subtly witty, yet very down to earth. I spent a good portion of this set laughing out loud. There's just something special about his delivery that I love, I don't know how to describe it.
He's also amazing in person.

Based on the trailer (and the fact that I had never heard of it), I wasn't expecting a whole lot from this movie. I thought it was going to be a bit of a B movie, maybe a little hokey, and my spouse didn't even want to give it a try.
But I loved Vin Diesel in Pitch Black, so I thought I'd give it a try...and it surprised me. While I see why it didn't win any awards (perhaps the storyline is a bit shallow and relies on some tropes), I really enjoyed it. I thought the special effects were good. The plot was fun and gritty enough to be taken seriously. There was some original thought. The acting was good.
Turns out, I prefer Vin Diesel in the more dark, fantasy/sci-fi roles (no disrespect to the Fast & Furious franchise). I would really like to see a sequel (the movie feels complete, but there's definitely an opening for another one. Sadly, it doesn't seem like that's going to happen.
All in all, I think it's worth the watch .

As many other reviewers have stated, this show started out really strong. Season One was great. Season Two was pretty darn good. Season Three quickly started to fall apart. My spouse and I continued to watch it until we realized we were only doing so out of a sense of obligation.
The show seems to have fallen into the category of formulaic with little through line of the story. Each episode had some huge "wow" crisis they had to contend with and by the end, it was wrapped up but oh wait! Another crisis has just emerged, better stay watching! The deeper plot and character developments in season one was much more fulfilling.
Also, the ridiculous tech inaccuracies got old fast.
