A great series of colourful, light hearted shorts. It doesn't need to be any deeper than that and is guaranteed make adults and kids smile alike.
As usual you'll notice the 1 star brigade out in full force but unless you're also an angry closet case that thinks fluoride in the water is making you gay then you'll probably just enjoy this show as it's intended.

Whilst I'll admit that the last two episodes certainly picked up the pace... the series as a whole had it's ups and downs.
The older cast members certainly carried the weight of the acting talent. Sometimes scenes with less experienced actors made it feel a little a teen drama.
There were however some decent battles and fight scenes along with some ok special effects. You'll notice some comments bleating about historical accuracy and authenticity but at the end of day is a show about mythological creatures, so take these reviews with a pinch of salt.
If you prefer your fantasy gritty like game of thrones or the Witcher then this probably isn't for you but it's an easy watch that finds its feet by the end and certainly has potential going forward.
You'll notice a lot of the negative reviews come from people who didn't make it past the pilot episode. The pilot isn't reflective of the series as a whole and if you find your way to the end of the next episode, you'll be hooked. Having read the book, don't expect a like for like adaption but the series is still rewarding with some great acting talent, intriguing characters/plot and some lovely visuals. Well worth a watch.
