Movies are horrible nowadays, ruined by the longer and much more rewarding experience that a damn good TV show provides.
With the rise of streaming and the flood gates opened, it's become a matter of digging through the garbage to find the gold; as quantity doesn't equate to quality unfortunately.
Dark Matter succeeds because of a fantastic, thought provoking premise, set against a man desperately trying to get home to the family he loves amid decreasing and near impossible odds.
I can't recommend DM enough. Fans of The OA will especially love it due to similar sci-fi themes, but this is a show for anyone who loves a great idea that's well executed.
It blows your mind, makes you think, has you rooting for the good guy, and pulls at your heart strings. I can't wait for future seasons.
Well done!

Read the Bible. God's Word has all the answers. Ask Him for spiritual wisdom. He put a yearning on all our hearts to find Him. We can know Him, and receive His eternal blessing through forgiveness because His Son Jesus died for us. Just accept Him and have faith.
This movie does correctly explain the battle on earth for our very souls. It correctly tells how over time so many have become blind to the pure evil in the world, that has so cunningly deceived so many that people can't even tell anymore what evil really is.
Evil works are accepted as good and even normal as we've become desensitized to things that should horrify us. God's Word, the Holy Bible, is truth.
Allow yourselves a chance at entering into His grace through Christ. I pray someone's eyes may be opened and their heart softened by reading this. Because it's a hard thing to open yourself up to the possibility that the world we live in has forces that want to keep us from our Creator.
Jesus said our choice is to go down the narrow path, which is hard but leads to eternal life with Him, or the wide path, which is easy but leads to damnation. Many will choose the wide path because it's easier and allows us not to worry about our sin or the consequences of how we live our life.
The narrow path is hard because it will put us at odds with the world. It will put us at odds with ourselves and the natural desires we all have. Seeking to enrich one's life by earthly treasures, physical desires, one's love of the world, and love from the world are all meaningless pursuits one chases while entering through the wide path that's easily navigated. These empty pursuits are meaningless because they profit our souls nothing.
Don't live in open rebellion against the One who actually loves you, God our Father.
Who knew you even before He formed you in your mother's womb.
Who cares for you so much He actually numbered the very hairs on your head because every part of you is important to Him.
Who gave you His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him, should not perish but receive eternal life.
Read God's Word.
In Jesus name, Amen.

This series is certainly well crafted, acted, written, directed, visually shunning, and engaging. However the ending really falls short to the point where it really affects my overall take on the show.
I don't want to give anything away, but I'll say I eagerly anticipated this series because of Brit/Zal, who created an all time great and original series with The OA. That's the show I still get pissed about when I think of its way too early cancellation.
Anyway, AMATEOTW just isn't exceptional. And the point of it kind of boring and obvious. The dangers of AI and the egocentric billionaires that'll profit from it are always going to be an issue. An issue that the world simply can't allow to run free without restrictions.
I hope Brit and Zal keep working because whatever they do is always interesting regardless. Hopefully Netflix does right by them and allows The OA to be finished but that'll likely never happen.
