The heavily favorable reviews show how many people can not think for themselves but let religion screw with their minds throughout their lives. In this series, we see how one man can't make up his mind if he's a man or a castrated, gutless sheep being led through life with a ring in his nose.

Spontaneity, authenticity, transparency, honesty, & genuine human experience is being expunged by autocratic thinking & fascistic leadership. Sad fate is in line for humanity unless people can buck the need to follow the life-sucking values that took down the male lead in this mini-series & caused him to break the heart of the woman who loved him all her life.

Considering the deeply stressful times in which we live, I have been leaning heavily towards watching romcoms & anything that will make me laugh or pull me out of the depressing daily news reality.

Like many of the reviewers, I too have a hard time separating Tom Cruise from his wacko fascist religion, but I was spellbound, rivetted to the screen & barely looked away during the full 2 hours. I don't know what could have made it more dramatic or convincing.

It does get awfully repetitive reading most reviewers who summarise the movies rather than actually reviewing them, so maybe some vocabulary work is due for would-be writers & reviewers to understand what they are doing, or are supposed to do.

5.7/10 average rating as I write this, & that's about as flat as it is. & here it comes-------Blehhhhhhh!!!!

Almost makes me never want to watch these 2 actors again. The son was the only interesting character in the movie. All the side characters are just irritating interruptions, especially the guy lost & wandering in the garden. Nothing whatsoever funny!
