It's a relatively enjoyable movie. I don't know if the writer(s) do research before hand, but why so little of the two other stars from the original two movies, Taggart and Rosewood. Eddie Murphy seems so keen to be the absolute star of the show that he forgets what made the first two movies special. It wasn't all him. I really wanted to see the three of them Foley, Taggart and Rosewood back together on a grander scale. If there's another film then maybe the action should move to Detroit with Taggart and Rosewood there to help Foley as three old streetwise (but funny men) attempting to rid the city of something. This movie like the first is too centred on drugs too. Find something else to concentrate on. Make it more age 15 or 18 age range and really pull out the stops.
Been a fan of these movies and have always put up with the craziness. Including the trips to space but this is as pretty rubbish. Vin Diesel needs to step back a bit and let other characters have a chance. Also, lose the kid actor (little Brian). He added nothing to this movie. The girl who plays Ramsay isn't working at all with the dynamic of the other characters. If she can be killed off then bonus. Not sure what's going on but if Vin Diesel is constantly putting himself centre stage then he needs to back off a bit, stop being such a prima donna and let some of the others play a bigger part. Then there's the obvious. If they can bring back Brian (Paul Walker) via CGI and have him eventually kill the baddies and save the entire planet they'd be giving fans of the franchise exactly what they want. I know how I'd play it and write it all. The Vin Diesel (Dom) character has become boring. He was never the best character anyway and and I'm sure he knows it. He needs to let the other characters take more of a lead over him, and I'm not on about Dwayne Johnson because his character is dreadful too and too much like the Dom character.
The craziness needs to be stripped back because it's gone so far beyond ridiculous now. It's almost like science fiction in parts.
One very good thing about this movie. Jason Momoa and the scene with Shaw and Han (that was very good).
They definitely need to bring back Brian (Paul Walker) by way of CGI for the final movie though, and have him be the main guy.

Michael Socha deserves an Oscar for this performance. He makes you feel every bit of the character he's portraying and the unheard voices of those he's not. The performance is incredible. The film doesn't drag whilst it gives an insight into the character and the many layers to a troubled character. It explores a very harrowing theme in a way that is hard to watch, but ultimately a must see for audiences everywhere. I am sure many watching will be able to relate, as I was, to the harsh environments of the 70's and 80's that have not been talked about enough. However, the mistreatment of children in care still occurs today. On a large scale.
