    THE FUNK is one of the weirdest and most singularly hilarious treasures of outsider children’s music ever made. Originally released in 1995 in an edition of 12 copies by schoolyard freak, Macho Alex, THE FUNK remained an obscure and hyper-local legend of Northern California cassette culture until its rediscovery by Waste MGMT Records. Lovingly restored on vinyl, THE FUNK is presented here in all of its naive visionary brilliance. This edition is limited to 200 copies, each of which come with a historical zine written by Macho Alex and his childhood friend, Matt Baldwin, who has stated publicly that: THE FUNK is the best record ever made.
