The year was 2007 and a few imminent mergers seemed due, such as chalga ←→ hip hop, as well as electroclash ←→ hip hop. Someone had signaled willingness to pay top leva for such fare, but then rejected the drafts as not simplistic enough. Hence the mergers never happened this way, here or elsewhere, and these gems sunk to the back of the hard drive. Lesson learned: Don't try to teach a pig to sing.
