The latest from London via NYC, “Post Hypnotic Signal” is a collaboration years in the making. “Joy and I are forever connected in rhythm after our time playing drums (Joy) and bass (Hannah) in our beloved former new wave band Black Gold Buffalo,” Hannah writes. “Having met through clubs some decades ago and spent many a time on the dancefloor together, it only seemed right to make some club bangers and here we are, Post Hypnotic Signal being one of the first of more to come!”

Hannah Holland and Joy Joseph both cut their teeth on the London scene, Joy as a drummer/composer and Hannah as a DJ, party promoter, and label head at the legendary Batty Bass, which is where the relationship with The Carry Nation began upon the signing of their first single “This Bitch Is Alive” in 2012.

“After many shared remixes and collaborations on Batty Bass, we are beyond thrilled to be able to bring this incredible project to Major Records,” says Nita of The Carry Nation.

“Of the many collaborations, a standout was the Carry remix for Black Gold Buffalo’s “Start A Fire” which found its roots in Joy’s powerful drum line”. Will adds, “It’s been a real pleasure to keep breaking new ground with this musical relationship, feels like such a full-circle moment.”
