Naikelson Amazing guitar patterns, rhythms and progression that reminds me of Atheist. Brutal and with fun changes of motifs per song, combined with powerful melodies and unbelievable technique.
8.7/10 Favorite track: Nameless,Faceless,Neverborn.

GMurphrygian This album is SO GOOD it had an eerily similar effect to 1993's Spheres, by Pestilence. These mega albums literally fractured the metal community and as a byproduct broke up the bands.

This album is a pinnacle of 2000s era progressive metal. See where First Fragment and the rest of the Canadian horde of tech metalers got their inspiration.

gretgor Martyr kinda ruined almost all other techdeath bands for me, because I keep expecting them to live up to this album. Favorite track: Lost in Sanity.

about

Feeding The Abscess is Martyr's 3rd full-length album released in 2006.

Canada's Martyr has created one of the most jaw-dropping complex progressive extreme metal albums ever! That is a bold statement, but once you hear "Feeding the Abscess" you will find it extremely difficult to mount an argument. Imagine a synthetic blend of Death Metal's greatest progressive bands: Death, Atheist, and Cynic with a Meshuggah cybernetic sound.

"Feeding the Abscess" defines the term "progressive".
