I'm onGood Reads & I try to keep track of the books I've read. This year it looks like I read 41 books. In 2011 I only have five books listed on the site, but I'm sure I read more than that. Not sure if it was just a busy year or if I wasn't so good at keeping track of what I read. Anyway, these are the books I read this year & the bold ones were my favorites. I joined the crowd & read both the Hunger Games series & the Fifty Shades series. (Hunger Games was definitely better.)

I have a couple of simple ornaments to share today. I made these for my tree. I used the Gelatins stamp set mini retro flakes & sayings.
This first little red bucket I found at Hobby Lobby. I thought it was the right size to hang on my tree & it just needed a little sprucing up (no pun intended!).I pulled an Elle's Studio large journaling tag & added some embossed snowflakes. I used the Santa's candy cane scented embossing powder as well as some silver Zing embossing powder.
This tag took a little more time than what I normally do. It gives the tag a lot of dimension & makes it extra pretty.
I used my square punch on the Joyeux Noel 6x6 Glitz Design stack until I had a pile of colorful squares. With each square, fold down three of the corners.Adhere each piece to the tag using an alternating pattern. Easy!
Here is another view so you can see how the layers look.
I added some trim at the top, used silver Zing embossing powder with a Papertrey Ink stamp & added a tag. Done!
Since this Christmas is a little different from last Christmas but I still wanted to send a Christmas card, I chose to feature Bentley instead of just me. Or me & Bentley. I ordered these through Vistaprint & I quite like them.
So I found this little picture of me when I was only three & wanted to scrap it. My dress reminds me of the polka dot papers in Echo Park's For the Record collection.
The stamps are Gelatins mini retro flakes & sayings stamped with Poppy Parade Stampin' Up on Pink Paislee Mistable scallop ribbon. I arranged several stamps on my acrylic block and used an alternating pattern.
I also attached a strip of silver gelly gems roll-ups. I'm dying to get my hands on the pretty red & pink gelly gems, as well as the studded!
Other embellishments are from the Echo Park sticker sheet that comes with the For the Record collection & the Christmas tree is Fancy Pants.
I made a card last night inspired by the color challenge at Color Me Scrappy. Here's what the colors were:
I really wanted to use the Hello Friend Glitz Design papers. They're soft, pretty, girlie colors & I thought they would match this color challenge well. The sentiment is from Sweet Stamp Shop simple sentiments. I cut a little pennant, added washi tape, a border punch, & some butterfly ribbon from my stash. The Pink Paislee heart is inked with hot pink Inkadinkado &old road chalk ink by Prima.
The colors didn't photograph as well as I'd like. It's very cloudy here today. But here's another shot:
I have always loved Glitz Design & although I don't normally do 6x6 pads, when I saw them in the store I could not resist. The papers on this layout are from the cashmere dame collection.
This photo is of TJ's mom (on the right) & her sisters. We were all together for a nephew's high school graduation party this past May.
I lovelovelove the Love Me collection by My Mind's Eye. So pretty - the colors, the designs, love everything about it. I don't even want to use it because it's so pretty!
The stamp is Gelatins stamps mini retro flakes & sayings. Yes, this is actually a Christmas stamp but used alone it can double for a Valentine's day card or even just a random I love you card.
Here's a close up shot of the stamp:
Also, this card was made based on this sketch I found at Retro Sketches.
Inks are poppy parade by Stampin' Up & antique linen by Tim Holtz distress ink (around the sentiment). Cricut Accent Essentials cartridge (cut at 4 inches).
I used My Mind's Eye papers and tons of Elle's Studio. I ordered a grab bag + some other goodies from their Black Friday sale. That circle - it's from their Spooky Tales collection. But I covered up the Halloween parts of it with the leaves & you can't even tell!
I also threw in some Pink Paislee Artisan collection. Inks are Tim Holtz old road chalk ink and faded jeans distress ink. The stamp set that I used for the title is Technique Tuesday simple joy.
