snapshot card|My StampBox

I have one last card to share for 2013. I used some older papers from my stash + 2 stamp sets from My Stamp Box. The pennants are from the Mini Pennants stamp set and I embossed them with MSB white embossing powder. Then I used the Snapshot stamp set with black embossing powder for the film strip.

Merry Christmas wine tag|My Stamp Box.

We made a trip to Chateau Thomas Winery a couple weekends ago to do a wine tasting and pick up some wine. I made a cute wine bottle tag for one of the bottles of Moscato that we gave mom.

I used the Merry Mr Snowman stamp set + black embossing powder from MSB. I love the shiny black look for this snowman.

'M' tag|My Stamp Box.

Today I have another tag to share! For this one, I used the Friday Night Stencil alphabet stamp set + clear My Stamp Box embossing powder.
I stamped the image with Tim Holtz embossing distress ink and used MSB clear embossing powder. Then I used the stamped embossed images as a resist and sprayed the entire tag with mist. I used Tattered Angels Chalkboard mist in Seven Seas. Doesn't that create a cool effect?

Merry Christmas {card} [LCOM sketch #51].

Merry Christmas! Today I have a Christmas card to share using the LCOM sketch #51. I actually turned this sketch on its side and staggered my embellishments. I kept the sentiment in the same place (if the card is on its side). Here's the sketch:
 Here's the card I made:
I used this Studio Calico stamp set as my starting point. I embossed with Tim Holtz distress embossing powder in fired brick. The sentiment stamp is by Papertrey Ink and is stamped with Versafine ink in onyx. I added some red/white twine and silver glitter tape to finish it off.

So link up with us at the LCOM blogand check out the projects from the other DT members too.

How to Play Along:

1. Make a newly created project using the provided sketch and upload it to your blog or online gallery.
2. Then leave a link to your project using the Inlinkz widget. Please use a direct link to your LCOM Sketch post and not just your blog address.

Christmas tags|My Stamp Box.

I am on the My Stamp Box design team (surprise!)and today we're sharing our tags for the December ALL PLAY. I used a couple different stamp sets on my tags.
Merry Mr Snowman
Let It Snow

The snowflakes and the present are embossed with My Stamp Box embossing powders in black, white, and gold. For the first tag, I used a tone on tone effect by stamping with cardinal Versa Color ink.

I added some red and white twine and some glitter tape and ribbon by Ameican Crafts for a festive look.

gary|featuring Glitz roller stamps.

We're all sharing projects using our Glitz roller stamps. I have the giant triangle roller doodle from the Raven collection. I love these triangles; I think they're so versatile.

These photos are from last December when we went to Chicago to see Gary (of course!). I used a lot of Studio Calico's Print Shop here. I love the colors in the papers, so pretty. I wanted to use the roller doodle stamp in a similar sort of color pattern to coordinate with the patterned papers. I used a yellow American Crafts pigment ink, farmer jean Prima ink, turquoise Versa Color, and green grass Prima ink.
You can view some inspiration for the other DT girls on the WT blog today. We hope you'll dig out your roller stamps and put them to use!

Christkindlmarket|Whimsical Twist.

I was looking for some December/Christmas photos to scrap for WT and found that I hadn't yet scrapped our trip last December to Chicago. We were there for two nights and one night was a Gary Allan concert. This photo was taken on the first night we arrived. I had wanted to walk down Michigan Ave but we took a wrong turn and ended up at Daley Plaza, where there was a German Christmas festival. So that turned into Plan B.

I used Glitz Design Finnley collection for the background paper and a piece of (yellow star) Studio Calico Print Shop + some accents from Basic Grey Carte Postale. This is a good mix of old and new product. I inked the wood BG piece with American Crafts pigment ink and added a script holiday sticker from Heidi Swapp.

I love this [LCOM sketch challenge #49].

Hello! Today I'm sharing my layout for our sketch challenge #49 at LCOM!

This is a great sketch for fitting several photos on one layout. I didn't follow the sketch exactly - I didn't use the same number of photos or the same sizes for my photos and my placement is a little different as well. Fitting seven photos on one page is a huge accomplishment for me! I printed my photos and cropped them based on the subject matter of the photos - not on the sizes. Then I just laid them all out how they looked best. Here's what I came up with:
These are all photos taken with my phone at a concert in October. We saw Gary Allan + Sheryl Crow in Detroit. This layout is pretty simple because of the number of photos and because of the design and bold colors in the background patterned paper.

Here is the sketch:

December Color Spot|Let's Capture our Memories

Isabelle asked me to do the color spot feature for December and I was really excited. I found this color combo to be perfect for a photo from last Christmas I'd been wanting to scrapbook.
This photo was the one I used for our Christmas cards last year. It took a little bit of work and a lot of treats to get 'the photo. Here's my layout:

I used some bits from Glitz Design's Hello December collection and some bits from the Gingerbread Studio Calico November add on. The mists are Studio Calico Mistery Huey's Hey Diddle Diddle and Tattered Angels Chalkboard mist in Seven Seas. The stamp set for 'December memories' is a very old set from my stash by Autumn Leaves.

I added some circle tags and note tags from Elle's Studio that are actually from the Spooky Tales and Summer Lovin' collections. Also from my stash is the Pink Paislee Luxe circle place mat and the oldoldold Jenni Bowlin gold tiny trim rub ons. Up on the top of the page, I also added some gold glitter tape from American Crafts and some gold washi from a SC kit earlier this year.

Isabelle joined in on this challenge as well! You can see her layout and the details of this challenge on the LCOM blog HERE.
