Sharing a layout with my Christmas puppies! This is our tradition every year - they have to pose in front of the tree. Don't worry, they're paid well with treats :)
This page was inspired by the sparkle and shine challenge at The Studio.

Congratulations on Your News!
Hello! I have a new card to share with you today!
I made this card using the Cupcake Cutie stamp set from Skipping Stones Designs. This is not just a birthday stamp set - this sentiment I used today is for a congratulations card.
I chose a stencil that reminded me of sprinkles and used distress ink blending to create the background. Then I printed my digital cupcake stamp and fussy cut it onto some patterned papers. The sentiment was printed directly onto the card. I adhered the cupcake with foam adhesive so it stands out a little bit.
Now I'm craving cupcakes!

stencil: Hero Arts
ink: Tim Holtz distress ink (picked raspberry; worn lipstick; festive berries)

soaking up the season.
This year there was a Chriskindlmarkt nearby that I wanted to check out. It ended up being a great night weather-wise because we didn't freeze and there was no snow. The event itself was a bust.
I used a sketch from the Sketch N Scrap Be Merry & Bright Facebook crop event. I rotated the sketch so my page looks a little different. This is how I used the sketch:

right now.
In October, one of my friends from college got married at the country club in the town where her parents live. I've never been there before and the weather was perfect for an October evening. The leaves were changing, the sun was warm, and it could not have been a better place for her wedding.
I used Sketch N Scrap sketch #142 for this page.

Aden & Santa.
I had a chance to play with some more Christmas goodies. Honestly, this is a mix of many holiday items that are mostly older lines.
My cousin posted this photo of her son with Santa a few weeks ago and I just love their faces. I used the Let's Get Sketchy Dec 1 sketch for this one. Thanks for looking!

If you give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day.
I'm sharing a card at Skipping Stones Designs today. I made this card using The Fisherman stamp set. It isn't in the store currently, but check back!
I am using the digital version of this stamp set, so I printed the sentiment on my background cardstock. Then I colored the cooler of beer with my Copic markers and fussy cut it.
I used distress ink blending to color my clouds, which are from a Hero Arts stencil. I attached them to my card with foam adhesive.

joyful.
We had a mini photo shoot at the end of November for our Christmas cards this year. Normally I just use a fun photo of us with the dogs, so I'm not sure why I wanted to spend all the extra money on professional photos this year, but we got a few good ones.
I'm using the tic tac toe challenge at Lasting Memories + the sketch challenge at Sketch N Scrap's Merry & Bright Crop. That 12x12 background patterned paper is vintage 2015 Elle's Studio!

What's a celebration without some wine? Am I right?!
I made a wine tag that's really pretty simple to just slap on a bottle of wine and use as a gift for holiday parties this year :)
I die cut my tag and then used one of the stamps from Text Melange to heat emboss on the background. The heat embossing powder I used is called Christmas Lights and it's a great mix of green, red, and gold.
Next I heat embossed some snowflakes and the sentiment from the Winter Mix It Up stamp set.
Make sure to head on over to Leslie next!!
***Here is the complete line up just in case you get lost along the way***
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR JOINING US TODAY!

[Paper Wings Productions] Cocoa Warms the Heart!
Today I'm sharing this card I made using Play with your Coffee and Frothy Concoctions stamp sets at Paper Wings Productions.
The first thing I did was run my background through my Grand Calibur. I chose this layered heart embossing folder because I knew my sentiment would be 'cocoa warms the heart' from the Frothy Concoctions stamp set. I watercolored the background with distress inks.
I stamped my coffee cup from the Play with Your Coffe stamp set onto patterned paper and fussy cut it. I stamped some marshmallows on white cardstock and fussy cut those before adding them to my cup with foam adhesive.
Then I adhered my cup of cocoa to my embossed heart background.
Thanks for looking!

Skipping Stones Designs | The Earth Laughs in Flowers
Hi there! Today I'm sharing a watercolor flower card I made for Skipping Stones Designs Stamps using the I'd Pick You stamp set. This one isn't in the shop right now, but check back soon!
First I stamped my flower with Versamark and heat embossed the image. Have you ever used masking fluid? I'm fairly new to it, but it's really helpful for coloring images. You spread a thin layer over the area you don't want to color, then you can color the image. After you're done, the masking fluid just peels off.
Then you can apply a thin layer to another area and color again. When you're done with that area, peel away the masking fluid.
For a detailed stamp like these flowers, the masking fluid is super helpful in allowing you to color the different areas without accidentally bleeding the colors together.
For this card, I used the Incredible White Mask liquid frisket. What do you think?

stamp set: Skipping Stones Designs (I'd Pick You)
ink: Tim Holtz distress inks (Festive Berries; Barn Door; Milled Lavender; Forest Moss; Peeled Paint; Aged Mahogany)

the road less traveled.
I'm participating in Sparkle N Sprinkle's November challenge... which is to use any of their stamps. I chose the Travelin' stamp set. I've had this for quite a while and never used it!
I heat embossed, watercolored, and then fussy cut the camper. I made a background using a die and a stencil. The clouds and the sentiment are heat embossed. Pretty quick and simple!

die: Mama Elephant (Landscape Trio)
stencil: Hero Arts (Sky Stenciled Pair)

I'm off work today and getting my scrapping on! Here's a page using the Nov 1 Stuck?! Sketch. I stayed pretty close to the sketch and worked on using some of my summer/beach themed products that I had to have earlier this year. I know most people are working on holiday pages, but our temps are in the 30s right now and I'm missing the sun!
This is actually much brighter and more tropical feeling in real life. It looks dull in this photo. I documented about the ferry ride to Isla Mujeres, where we vacationed in February. I've been looking at where we're going to go this winter... any suggestions?

I played along with the Scrap Our Stash challenge, which is a sketch and a word challenge. The word was THANKS:
Twins, which is the subject of my photo
Hearts

New Arrival patterned paper from Pebbles Inc
Kit from Elle's Studio
Skyscraper mist from Studio Calico
This was really a stash busting layout. I used patterned paper scraps so old I don't know how long I've had them! Here's my page:

boo!
Hello on this rainy day! I haven't done an 8.5x11 size in a while so I thought for a Halloween photo of my little cousins, I would give it a shot. The 8.5x11 size American Crafts page protectors I use are no longer made so I haven't been making this size as much lately, although it's my first love :)
I used the color challenge from Scrap the Boys this month (even though there is one girl in this picture!) + Heather's sketch from the Memory Lane scrapbook store Facebook group. Since the sketch was 12x12 size, my page looks a little different from Heather's sketch. Here's my page:

today's adventure.
November is half over and I'm just now having time to scrapbook! What is happening?!
These pictures were taken last month when my brother and his girlfriend went apple picking. I didn't even know that was a thing.
I used the Scrappy Friends challenge for this page. Rochelle's word inspiration was fun and autumn themed. I was inspired by the colors and the word "apple," obviously :)
My background paper is from the Welcome Home collection from Carta Bella. Then I used some papers from the 6x6 Family Fun collection from Elle's Studio. I added some die cuts from September and October monthly kits from Elle's Studio and inked my wood pieces with VersaMark and then heat embossed them to match the page.
Thanks for looking!

This Fish Reminds me of your Ex...
Hey! I'm on the Skipping Stones Designs blog today with this hilarious card. I think it's pretty funny anyway! This is the Fisherman stamp set, which isn't stocked yet, but check back soon!
The sentiment says, "I saw this fish... and it reminded me of your ex." Then there are a couple different sentiments I could stamp inside the card, but I went with "hooker."
I colored my fish with Copic markers and used distress inks to create the background. I die cut the mini chicken wire and adhered it over my watercolored background. My fish is mounted on pop dots to make him stand out a little from the background.
Who would you send this card to?
supplies
Copic: YG95; YG93; YG91; R39
ink: Tim Holtz distress ink (peacock feathers)
die: Die-namics (mini chicken wire)

With Sympathy.
My aunt lost her dog this week so I wanted to send a card.
I used my Xyron to adhere the delicate die cut sentiment. Of course, then there was some extra adhesive around the letters so when I tried to smudge it off, I smeared the paw print stamp. Sometimes I just can't leave well enough alone.
I don't always stamp a sentiment inside, but I did on this one. Crafting from Heart has an 'anything goes' challenge so be sure you link up!

21 Gun Salute: guest designer at Paper Girls challenge blog.
Hey everyone! I'm super excited to be guest designing at Paper Girls challenge blog this month! For challenge 139, we are honoring our veterans.
My maternal grandfather died two years ago. He was an Army veteran and had a military funeral before his burial at a local national cemetery. I've struggled with how to document this ceremony and I'm grateful for this challenge to push me.
I started by stamping and heat embossing the stars diagonally across my page and then I added some splatters of red mist. The red and white glassine envelope is from my stash and I layered some Doodlebug patterned paper and washi tape.
Thanks so much for being here today! :)

Bengals/Packers game: a pocket style page.
I did a pocket style page using Design A from Becky Higgins' Project Life. This is about the football game we went to in September. I'm playing along with Love to Scrap's challenge this month - anything goes! You just have to use stamps :)
I used quite a few stamps sets on this page and mixed and matched my Elle's Studio monthly kits as well. The colors in their kits are all similar and coordinate perfectly. Thanks for looking!

Here's more about my project:
For my banner, I started with the Art Textures stamp set. I wanted to create some background interest and dimension. I used a super thick embossing powder with the textured stamp.
Next I chose some word phrases and an image from the mix it up stamp set series. I stamped some of words with Memento ink and others I heat embossed. Again, I was just trying to create some interest for the background.
I cut the word 'home' with my Cricut Stamped cartridge and attached them to my banner. To link it all together, I found some twine that I thought really drove home my fall theme.
For my wooden embroidery hoop, I used the same patterned paper that I had used for the word 'home' in my banner. I wanted to create a simple message around the pumpkin from the Fall Mix it Up stamp set. I chose 'laughter & love' from the Winter Mix It Up stamp set + 'from our home to yours' from the Holiday Mix it Up stamp set. I heat embossed everything with a fine black detail embossing powder.
Have you ever used your stamps to make home decor?
Next, head over to Dana's blog!

Skipping Stones Designs | Witching you a Happy Halloween!
Hey guys! I'm on the Skipping Stones Designs blog today sharing my first official design team post.
This witch hat is from the Halloweenie stamp set.
I have the digital stamp set and I am still a novice with digital stamps. First I tried to print my stamp and then watercolor it, but the ink smeared.
So plan B was to watercolor first, then print the image over the top. I used Shaded Lilac distress ink with my watercolor brush and added a few sequins for a final touch.
Thanks for letting me share this card with you today! Happy Halloween!

autumn has arrived.
Finally today I got a chance to play with my October Elle's Studio kit. This kit had some orange and black that I wanted to use on an autumn page and I knew just the photo to use!
I recently decorated for autumn and had a photo shoot out front with the dog. He was paid in treats :)
I was inspired by the tic tac toe challenge at Scrap Our Stash. I used orange, pumpkins, and die cuts. I used the October 22 sketch challenge at The Studio Challenges. Here's my page:
Has autumn arrived where you live?

patterned paper: Bella Blvd
washi: Glitz Design

Paper Wings Prouductions: :You make Life Sweet
Today I'm sharing a card I made with the Hey Cupcake stamp set. I chose the little cupcake to stamp, heat emboss, and watercolor.
I use distress ink + my Tim Holtz watercolor brush after I heat embossing the stamped cupcakes with white fine detail embossing powder. Then I fussy cut them and did the same technique with the cupcake stand. I didn't want the whole stand - it was too large for my cupcakes! - so I fussy cut just the top part of the cupcake stand for my card. Always be on the look out for ways to make your stamps go further and work for your needs!
My sentiment is also from the Hey Cupcake stamp set, which I heat embossed with a coordinating pink embossing powder. I added a spot of watercoloring to my base using the same distress inks I used on the cupcake frosting. I think it helps to ground my sentiment.
Then I adhered the cupcake stand and my cupcakes with pop dots.
Thanks for looking!
supplies
stamp: Paper Wings Productions (Hey Cupcake)
ink: Tim Holtz distress ink (Milled Lavender; Shaded Lilac; Aged Mahogany)
embossing powder: Simon Says Stamp (white fine detail); Wow! (Sweet Cheeks)
