grow.
I'm playing along with a color challenge at Lasting Memories today! This page came together so quickly after I found this challenge. I was really puzzled with where to start with this photo, but I love the look of this finished page.I really loved the wreath design on this patterned paper. I built onto the wreath by adding some floral die cut pieces. I fussy cut some leaves out of other patterned papers and added those as well. Some of the bits I adhered with foam adhesive for some visual texture.
I added a ton of little puffy heart stickers from Elle's Studio as a finishing touch. Thanks for looking!

fun at the zoo.
Documenting our nephew's first trip to the zoo! We visited him for the first time in September when he was about two weeks old and we all took a trip to the Columbus zoo. He slept the whole time :)
This page was inspired by a sketch at Paper Issues this month. I kind of went out of my comfort zone here, but I really like how this turned out. Used up a lot of Bella Blvd pieces on this design. Thanks for looking!Friday, November 6, 2020
home.
Today I'm playing along with the first Scraplift Sunday challenge of November at Paper Issues! I used some of the Day Dreamer collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio on this autumn page. I was not a huge fan of this collection so I only got two embellishment packs and two patterned papers.

chill out.
I used the Vitamin Sea collection from Fancy Pants for this page. The little tag is from Heidi Swapp Art Walk.
I painted some gesso on my background so I could use some distress inks. I also used distress inks on the tag.

Blackie.
This is for another challenge at Paper Issues this month! This one is the Monochromatic Fanatic challenge.
The color is black and on the moodboard, one of the photos says "ew, people." I thought that was a good reason to make a cat layout:) This is Blackie, who isn't really our cat, but is technically our cat. I used up some of these adorable Elle's Studio tags I've had forever, a few bits from Bella Blvd Chloe collection and the Bazzill cardstock is called dark gray prismatic. Thanks for looking!Wednesday, October 21, 2020
harvest.
Scraplift Sunday! You can see the page to scraplift HERE. I really went through my Elle's Studio stash and dug out a bunch of labels to use on this page. I couldn't think of a title so this page sat on my desk for a couple days and then I realized... I don't have to have a title. I'm just going to call this one what it is - harvest.
Thanks for looking!

Use Your Stuff guest design team! Autumn.
Hello again! Use Your Stuff has another fun challenge this month - autumn! It can be interpreted so many ways. I chose to scrap a photo of Bentley, right after he was groomed and looking so handsome.
I used some pieces from my stash (Bella Blvd's Cooper collection, Elle's Studio 6x6 patterned paper, Scrappin Happy Studio flair) + a new patterned paper from Amy Tangerine's Late Afternoon and new chipboard flair from Days of Splendor (PinkFresh Studio). Thanks for looking!

more pumpkin, please!
This page is inspired by one of the October challenge at Paper Issues - costomb parade. This is my nephew, Maxwell, at one week old! I used a new patterned paper from Bella Blvd (sweet & spooky collection) and a bunch of Elle's Studio goodies from my stash.
Thanks for looking!

beautiful moments.
This page was inspired by the 'world series' challenge at Paper Issues this month and I'm scrapping a series of photos. These are two of the Monarchs that eclosed late this summer.
I used gesso and distress inks on the background and embellished with some Jen Hadfield flower ephemera from The Avenue collection. The sequins are Sunflower Field from Spiegelmom Scraps. Thanks for looking!Monday, October 12, 2020
3 weeks.
Today I have another Maxwell page!
This one is for sketch 439 at Sketches in Thyme. I stuck pretty close to this sketch and it's one my friend Laura created. I love her sketches. This is the Pink Paislee Indigo & Ivy collection and I think this page will go in Max's album so his parents can journal. Thanks for looking!

Use Your Stuff guest design team! you + me
Hello friends! I'm guest designing this month at Use Your Stuff! The first challenge this month at Use Your Stuff is a nautical theme! and you guys know how I love my beach vacations. This challenge was right up my alley! These photos are from our trip to Mexico in 2018.
I pulled the sea creatures chipboard pieces from Denisen Boddey and painted them with a thin layer of gesso. Then I painted them with Shimmerz. I used some distress inks to create my background. The 'frame' around the page is the remainder of a cut file I used on another page
Next I dug through my Elle's Studio stash and pulled out some puffy hearts, some labels, and some 3x4 cards. Then I added some pieces from Maggie Holmes' Sunny Days collection. For a final touch, there are some epoxy flair.
I hope you'll head over to UYS and check out what the others made. Thanks for looking!

good times.
This page was inspired by the first October challenge at Scrap Our Stash. They have a mood board challenge and I know it's an October challenge, but the photos in the moodboard inspired me to scrap a Thanksgiving photo from last year. I pulled out the Indigo & Ivy collection from Pink Paislee.
I know this collection is two years old, but I really liked it and I have just a little bit left that I've been hoarding. I want to use it up this weekend! #Goals

happy.
We had a funeral to attend last week and afterwards, we stopped by a local sunflower field I had been wanting to visit. It was a beautiful day and the sunflowers were so pretty.

DAD.
I'm an aunt! This is my brother and my new nephew! He was born September 10. I found this cut file from Paige Evans (it's FREE!) and was inspired by the Scrap the Boys challenge this month. Cut files + mixed media!
I used distress oxides in Broken China and Twisted Citron. I backed the cut file with an old patterned paper from PinkFresh Studios and the sequins are called Carnival Ride (it's an older mix no longer available). Thanks for looking!

adorable
My nephew was born last week! I only have a few photos of him so far - he's only a few days old! - but I couldn't wait to start scrapbooking him. A new little baby boy was perfect for the blue and white challenge at Lasting Memories.

beautiful day.
Hi friends! Today I'm sharing a page for Denise Boddey Designs. These photos are from my brother's wedding from one year ago. I found this FREE cut file at Paper Issues and I wanted to do some mixed media between a white cut file and a white background. I chose two packages of chipboard to feature on this page. I have the sprouts chipboard and the small button leaves.
I share a process video HERE where you can watch how my background develops and how I colored my leaves. I heat embossed my chipboard pieces using WOW! embossing powders.
I love how this page turned out and how the chipboard pieces help embellish my floral cut file.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
supplies
sequins: Spiegelmom Scraps (Vintage Dowry)
enamel dots: Prima Sugardots
mist: Shimmerz Coloringz (Keep Palm)
embossing powder: Wow! Embossing Powder (White Puff; Neptune)

together.
This was for a scraplift Sunday challenge at Paper Issues. I converted my page to 8.5x11. I haven't done this size in a while and it seems so small!
I dug out some patterned papers from my stash and embellished with Elle's Studio goodies. The card stock is daisy from Bazzill. Thanks for looking!
heart this.
Did you know inf you sign up for Chili's rewards program, you get a free birthday dessert? and this skillet chocolate chip cookie is sooooo good. I've gotten it two years in a row now :)
Every single thing on this page is from Elle's Studio. Old + new. My mixed media background was made using distress inks and Shimmerz Coloringz (Freshly Squeezed). The sketch inspiration for this page came from my friend Laura at Sketches in Thyme. Thanks for looking!

remember.
I chose to document how thankful we were to have Vanilla in our lives. I rescued him on Black Friday one year. He was nine years old and had been dumped in a shelter. I actually let him go live with my brother and they were best buddies. But Vanilla was my sweetheart.
I used the Simple Stories Heart collection. It's so sweet & sad. The colors are gorgeous. & I thought it was perfect for this page. I embellished with some dog themed epoxy flairs from Scrappin Happy Studio.
Thanks for looking!

the best is yet to come.
I've had so much fun this summer watching my caterpillars. I planted a swamp milkweed last summer and had (what I thought then was) a successful season. This year, I've had so many more caterpillars and seen way more Monarchs in the yard. I go out and check on them daily to see how they're all doing :) This year, I actually became a certified Monarch waystation. But more on that later!
This page was for a September sketch challenge at Paper Issues. This is a free cut file from their shop. I used distress inks in Forest Moss and Peeled Paint to 'paint' my leaves. I embellished with Bella Blvd's Home Sweet Home collection. Thanks for looking!
supplies
patterned paper: Simple Stories
Shimmerz: Coloringz (Keep Palm)

kitty.
Here's one for fun of my Whitey cat. She's not really my cat, but it's a long story.
I used the Chloe collection from Bella Blvd on this one. It's so cutesy!

look for rainbows.
I have a fun page to share today! This one was inspired by challenge 403 at Use Your Stuff - books. I thought I would use a quote from one of my favorite books that I read last year.
I did some mixed media on the background. First I used gesso. Next I took my distress oxide ink pads and swiped them straight onto the paper. Then I spritzed some water on them and formed my rainbow. I added some embellishments from my stash to coordinate with my rainbow theme. Thanks for looking!

love always.
I'm squeezing in one more challenge for the Paper Issues summer crop. This one was for the scrap heap challenge - to use three different manufacturers. The rest text paper is from Studio Calico (2013!), the heart paper is Amy Tangerine (Oh Happy Life) and my embellishments are from PinkFresh Studios (Joyful Days).
I used some broken china distress ink + the packaging technique in one corner. In the other corner I used my mini bricks stencil from TCW + some transparent matte texture paste. The sequins are A Heart's Key from Spiegelmom Scraps. Thanks for looking!Saturday, August 22, 2020
summer lillies.
Paper Issues has a summer camp going on through this weekend and I'm earning a badge for another challenge with this layout. This is for the packing list challenge where you are given a list of items and you have to use five of them. I chose yellow, Thickers, sequins, flair, a circle and a butterfly.
These are my lillies from this summer! All of these (except the red ones) are ones I planted last spring. I love seeing them bloom in the summer. I created my page with a FREE cut file from Paper Issues. I edited this cut file in Silhouette to turn the bottom half from waves into grass. Then I used peeled paint distress oxide and popped it up with foam adhesive.
The 'sky' of the cut file, I wanted to make look like a gorgeous sunset so I chose distress inks in spiced marmalade and wild honey + Pink Stillettos Coloringz from Shimmerz. This is a totally different style than I usually do, but I love how it turned out. Thanks for looking!

Keaton.
I decided to start fostering again this summer and my husband thinks I'm crazy our first foster was a three month old puppy. Mostly I have fostered older dogs so this was an adventure.
Keaton had a high pitched, ear piercing bark and he used his voice non-stop. He was a super fast learner, picked up on our routine quickly, and was too rough with the cats. We had him for two weeks and he was adopted by a perfect family with two kids who will love him fur-ever.
homemade memories.
Paper Issues is having an online crop and I decided to play along with some of the challenges. This one was for the talent show challenge - to scrap an accomplishment.
So we moved into our new home in May 2019 and finally by October I had our main living room the way I wanted it. This is actually the first room that I completely finished... and I should admit that none of the other rooms are really "finished" yet. Except the upstairs bathroom. It's done.
This is all from the Let's Stay Home collection from PinkFresh Studios. I used Liquitex gesso on the background and then distress inks in Peacock Feathers and Evergreen Bough. Thanks for looking!

sunshine water beach [Challenge YOUrself #80].
This month's Challenge YOUrself challenge is one of my favorites because it's about your vacation! I work to vacation :)
I found a free cut file from Paper Issues + used the Unforgettable collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio. I have a process video HERE.
For a final touch, I added Ride the Tide Spiegelmom Scraps sequins and some flair from Scrappin Happy Studio.

happy.
Thanks for looking!
Future Mrs.
Today I have a layout inspired by the July 17 sketch at Lasting Memories. It's a two photo sketch, but I used one horizontal photo instead. I was looking through my Instagram and I realize I've been primarily scrapbooking one photo layouts lately but I have no photos to scrap. We haven't done anything all year because of Covid! I need some family gatherings and some birthday parties and some trips!
This photo is my bestie's engagement photo. We've been planning their wedding for next July.
Everything on my page is from the Celebrate collection from PinkFresh + Altenew, with the exception of some Scrappin Happy Studio flair. Thanks for looking!
