About Me
I'm Matthew Dickson, a software engineer living in Seattle, WA with my wife and two cats, Haskell and Ada. I'm currently a software engineer at Samsara on the Routing team, and before that I was an engineer on the Transparency and FireTV teams at Amazon. I'm technically interested in high performance computing and systems programming, so I'm currently enjoying writing lots of Rust.
Beyond tech, I'm rather predictably into coffee, hiking, photography, kayaking, and any chance to cook something different. Every March, I briefly become a college basketball fan to cheer on Duke, my alma matter, but otherwise I loosely follow Pardres baseball and Formula 1.

In keeping with my affinity for Rust, this site uses rocket for its REST interface, tera for some templating, yew for the interactive Web Assembly on the demo page, and my very own pegmd to convert Markdown to HTML.
