Brilliant progressive thrash with badass lyrics, tight instrumentation, and some of the raddest sections in their discography, notably the lyrical flow at the end of Motor Spirit, the hyper-fast thrash ending of Converge, and that one part in Dragon. there's few albums that have such a great, charming and cool vibe, so dark and muffled whilst sounding so bright. it's oscillating between orchestral-like pieces and bedroom pop, and it just works. this is going in the reference music playlist

i bought this album because the other option was paying for youtube premium and this is clearly the better option -- my only regret is i forgot to wait until Bandcamp Friday, but i guess it just couldn't wait. listening to this album is URGENT
